Double Award Win at Print Awards
When you put all your energy and passion into creating something unique, it's nice when now and again it's recognised. So it was with nominations in hand and monkey suit donned in hopeful expectation that we took our place amongst our industry peers at the annual Irish Print Awards at The Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin. What turned out to be a great nights fun was topped off when we were awarded the top prize in two separate categories: Best DM campaign of 2009 and Best Large Format Print of 2009.
The winning DM project was singled out for special mention by the judging panel who commented on the exceptional quality and complexity of both the design and personalisation aspects. Featuring innovative image personalisation technology throughout, the mailer was said to showcase a cutting edge marketing skill set, one that has helped give DM specialists such as Upper Case a competitive advantage in a today's challenging market place.
The award is the company's fifth such accolade since 2001, and our 13th award nomination.

| Ever get the feeling that some design and print companies have a commitment to quality that doesn't quite stack up? Many certainly talk the talk and many more even look the part (hats off to the marketing guys!). The old adage "self praise is no praise" comes to mind in this case. At Upper Case we prefer a different maxim, along the lines that when your work speaks for itself, then stop talking. So please, don't just take our word for it. Far better to consider the opinion of the Irish Print Awards judging panel. They tend to know a thing or two about design and print, and aren't known to award points for slick marketing.
